The Prelude Of Marriage

On one faithful evening, whence the sun is just about to set in the nearby horizon, a couple who have been so close for the past couple of years lie seated on a well carved wooden chair, facing a glimmering lake. The man wraps his arms around the girl gently with care. The girl then slowly rests her head on the boys chests whilst looking at his almond shaped eyes. The boy then stares back at the girl and gives a little smirk before he starts conversing about the first time he laid eyes on her. At this point of time, the girl feels so secure as to be amidst the boys arms. Not long after, the boy proceeds by reaching into his waistcoat pocket. Feeling as if she's obstructing he's path, the girl backs away to allow the boys hand to wriggle freely as he tries to reach a small black box, perched safely in the far end of his pocket. At the sight of the black box, the girl is in awe, for she knows something precious lies in it. The boy then gets off the chair and kneels before the girl. At first he bows his head whilst holding the tiny black box with both his hands.

The girl, feeling pretty shocked at the boys actions, looks at no one but him; she is somewhat speechless and happy deep down inside, but no words can she use to describe this feeling perfectly. So she remains silent as a mute. The boy then lifts his head slowly, and fixes his gaze on her eyes. Without hesitation, he utters the following words to the girl, 'Will you marry me my sweet love?' Tears then starts rolling down the girls eyes. They are no ordinary tears, for they are tears of joy. The girls heart which is enlightened by the boys move start uttering unclear words before she stands up and firmly replies with a simple 'Yes'. Unhesitatingly, the boy stands up and opens the box, revealing an expensive diamond ring which he had purchased for the girl. The boy then takes the girls arms slowly and slips the beautiful diamond ring on her ring-finger. The girl then raises her finger at which the ring was slipped on to see's a certain glow in her newly worn ring.

The boy however could not resist noticing the radiance in the girls face. Smiles encompassed both the couples faces at that unforgettable moment at which one partner proposed to the other. Both the boy and the girl then take each others hands. The boy then breaks free of the girls grip and wraps one arm around her neck while the other around her waist. The girl does so likewise. They then bring their lips closer to each other; so close that one can smell the others breath. This is no Mentos advert though. Unknowingly, one of them makes the first move and they both will end kissing each others lips for minutes, for they now will stay under the same roof until time and only time tears them apart.
